The purpose of this Bill is to hold corporations criminally accountable for abuse and neglect in care settings; to compel organisations and individuals to supply information to Adult Safeguarding Boards, and to introduce a new offence of corporate neglect whereby a corporate body can be found guilty if the way in which its activities are managed or organised is a substantial element in the existence or possible acceptance of abuse or neglect.

The Bill is due to have its second reading in March and we will keep you up-to-date.
