13 Virgin Atlantic employees were sacked recently after a group was set up on the social networking site Facebook on which employees discussed various aspects of their jobs.

An overreaction? Not when the discussions involve allegations against their employer and Virgin Atlantic Passengers. Employees' indiscretions included allegations that some of the planes' jet engines were changed four times in one year, and that there were cockroaches on the aircrafts. Jibes were also aimed at passengers, who were called "chavs". Needless to say, Virgin Atlantic has described the employees' behaviour as "totally inappropriate" and the 13 culprits "will be leaving the company".
