The FSA has issued Final Notices in respect of William Coppin and Perry Bliss for breaches of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000.
Coppin and Bliss were stockbrokers formerly employed by Pacific Continental Securities (UK) Limited. Inside information relating to an agreement to be entered into by Provexis plc was provided to them and they recommended the purchase of shares in Provexis plc to clients of their employer at a time when that information was still inside information. They continued to make recommendations to clients even after their employer had warned them not to.
Bliss was fined £30,000 and Coppin £70,000 and a prohibition order was made against them both.
