MoveOn.org finds that negative ads “work better” than positive ads…The Federal Election Commission (FEC) filings show that since 2006, MoveOn.org spent more than $2.7 million in directing negative ads against a dozen Republican candidates including former Mayor Rudy Giuliani and Senator John McCain (AZ. R.)…At the same time, the FEC’s records show MoveOn has spent less than $400,000 supporting approximately 60 Democrats seeking office…In one contest, MoveOn.org spent $440,000 against the Republican incumbent and gave the Democratic challenger only $3,507.
