The Government has published a Green Paper, Preparing Britain for the future: the Government's draft legislative programme 2008-09 that sets out the Government's plans for legislation over the next year's parliamentary session. The draft legislative programme aims to increase public awareness of, and involvement in, the law-making process.
The proposed Bills and other, non-legislative actions are organised under four headings:
- economic stability;
- making the most of your potential;
- personalisation and improvement of public services; and
- handing power back to people.
A number of Bills are included in the programme that are of relevance to property practitioners.
