Britain’s workers have come second in a league table of workplace whingers, behind France. 37% of employees think they don’t have enough holidays, despite an average of 33.5 days off a year. 40% of workers aren’t happy with their pay. The survey was carried out by FDS International, and involved 14,000 people in 23 countries.
Overall, people in countries where income was much higher than the cost of living were the least satisfied at work. Charlotte Cornish, Chief Executive of FDS, said “Compare them to Thai workers. While real levels of income are more than eight times higher in the States, more workers in the US feel their pay is a problem than in Thailand”.
