FSA has published a consultation paper proposing to continue the current disclosure regime for short positions in UK financial sector stocks. The current regime is due to expire at the end of June and FSA wants to continue it in its current form, pending future proposals that FSA expects will cover a broader regime for all stocks. It wants comments by 12 June so it can put new measures in place before the current regime expires.
