The European Chemicals Agency (ECH A) has entered, on the European Union’s registration, evaluation and authorization of chemicals (RE ACH ) database, the names of companies that have registered substances under RE ACH without claiming confidentiality.

The database, which can be searched by company name, contains about 26,000 registration dossiers. Approximately 4,000 dossiers have been withheld from the database because the companies claimed confidentiality. In December 2012, ECH A will add information on the results of assessments of substances for characteristics indicating that they are “persistent bioaccumulative, and toxic” or “very persistent, very bioaccumulative.”
