On May 28th, the SEC provided notice of the Options Clearing Corporation's filing of a proposed rule change that would provide that OCC, rather than an adjustment panels of the Securities Committee, will determine adjustments to the terms of options contracts to account for certain events, such as certain dividend distributions or other corporate actions, that affect the underlying security or other underlying interest. Comments should be submitted within 21 days after publication in the Federal Register, which is expected during the week of June 3. SEC Release No. 34-69642.
