On November 7, 2012, Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine rejected a petition filed by Ohioans for Ohio seeking to place on the Ohio statewide ballot an amendment to the Ohio Constitution.

The sought amendments related to state sovereignty, enforcement of constitutions and violations of oaths of office. The Attorney General rejected the petition for a number of reasons, including that summary was not comprehensive enough and omitted key pieces of information.

The Attorney General news announcement is available on the AG website and the petition as filed is also available on the Ballot Intiatives section of the AG website.
