UCITS must file Key Investor Information Documents (KIIDs) with duly revised presentation of past performance on an annual basis. In 2013, the filing deadline falls on 19 February. Where no revised past performance is available for inclusion it is not necessary to submit an updated KIID provided that the remaining sections are up to date, such as SRRI and Ongoing Charges. ESMA issued a Questions and Answers document on KIIDs for UCITS which clarified that UCITS which are in liquidation are not obliged to prepare a KIID. Any update to the KIID filed with the Central Bank must be translated (as necessary), filed in any other host jurisdictions where the UCITS is registered to market its shares and uploaded on the UCITS’ website.
