Today the Department of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) invited 3,350 applicants with a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 438 or higher to apply for permanent residence.

Today’s draw marks the 110th round of invitations since Express Entry came into force and is the lowest minimum score through Canada’s Express Entry system since October 4, 2017.

The 3,350 Invitations To Apply (ITAs) issued in today’s draw brings January's ITA total to 11,150 – a new record for the most invitations issued in the month of January since the Express Entry was introduced in 2015.

This surge in ITAs is due to the IRCC’s increased targets for 2019 and 2020, we are hopeful that the IRCC will continue to increase the number of ITAs issued over the course of this year.
