The Department of Labor ("DOL") has launched a new, interactive website designed to help individuals involved in the administration of U.S. retirement plans identify the fiduciaries of the plan. The website provides information and answers to a variety of questions about who is a fiduciary and their related responsibilities under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) and is part of the continuing effort to increase awareness and understanding about basic fiduciary responsibilities when operating a retirement plan. It's a very good resource and worth a quick visit. The website may be found here: http://www.dol.gov/elaws/ERISAFiduciary.htm
