JCT have confirmed that they will publish an update to their suite of contracts to take account of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015.
The new CDM Regulations 2015 will come into force on 6 April 2015, and as Caroline reported in her blog, this will bring about some wholesale changes to the management of health and safety requirements on site. The 2015 Regulations will apply to all projects, but where a CDM coordinator has already been appointed for a project, there will be a six month transitional period.
The JCT update is not yet available, but JCT have confirmed in a statement that an amendment sheet will be available via their website once the CDM Regulations 2015 have been finalised. They have not confirmed whether this will be before 6 April.
