On September 7th, FINRA released the August 2010 Supplement to the October 2002 Security Futures Risk Disclosure Statement. The Statement contains general disclosures on the characteristics and risks of security futures. The Supplement adds new disclosure to accommodate proposed changes by OneChicago, LLC to list a class of security futures for which adjustments will be made for ordinary dividends. The Supplement is effective October 7, 2010. FINRA Information Notice. Similarly, the National Futures Association revised to October 7, 2010, the effective date for its Interpretive Notice entitled "NFA Compliance Rule 2-30(b): Risk Disclosure Statement for Security Futures Contracts." NFA Compliance Rule 2-30(b) requires Members and Associates who are registered as brokers or dealers under Section 15(b)(11) of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 to provide a Risk Disclosure statement regarding the risks of trading security products to a customer at or before the time the Member approves the account to trade security futures products.
