Yesterday, as part of its ongoing efforts to prevent the use of e-cigarettes by children, the FDA announced that it cited 40 retailers for violations related to the sale of JUUL e-cigarettes to children. The FDA sent the retailers warning letters.

The FDA said that it has been "conducting a large-scale, undercover nationwide blitz to crack down on the sale of e-cigarettes -- specifically JUUL products -- to minors at both brick-and-mortar and online retailers. The undercover operation started April 6th and is expected to continue through the end of the month.

{ We’ll hold retailers accountable for continued violations. Let me be clear to retailers. This blitz, and resulting actions, should serve as notice that we will not tolerate the sale of any tobacco products to youth.
