• The FCC has commenced enforcement actions against 20 retailers allegedly selling cell-jamming devices via the Internet. Such devices are unlawful under Section 302(b) of the Communications Act. Because the FCC lacks jurisdiction over retail entities, it must first issue a citation stating that the devices are unlawful. Further violations could result in fines from $16,000 to $112,500.
