On 24 November 2013, the FCA published a press release announcing its thematic review of price comparison websites for insurance.The FCA intends to review 14 such websites, representing 90% of the market offering general insurance products.The key focus of the review is to ensure that consumers are treated fairly and are fully informed (including being made aware of the complaints process available to them). The FCA intends to publish its findings, and details of any action required of firms, in 2014.
