The FSA has published Consultation Paper 10/4: Sale and rent back (full regime) - Feedback on CP09/22, made rules and consultation (CP10/4).
In CP10/4 the FSA explains how it will regulate the sale and rent back (SRB) markets. CP10/4 is divided into two sections:
- Part 1 - A Policy Statement, which sets out the feedback the FSA received from its consultation on the full SRB regime (Consultation Paper 09/22: Regulating sale and rent back - the full regime). The FSA also sets out the final rules and guidance that will apply under the full SRB regime which comes into force on 30 June 2010.
- Part 2 – A Consultation Paper in which the FSA consults on the full reporting approach it intends to implement for the SRB regime. Following the consultation the FSA plans to publish a Policy Statement and final rules in the summer of 2010.
The deadline for comments on CP10/4 is 30 April 2010.
