EPA forms Science Advisory Board panel on hydraulic fracturing. The Environmental Protection Agency (“EPA”) announced the formation of a Science Advisory Board panel to review the agency’s pending study of the potential impacts of hydraulic fracturing on drinking water, due out next year. Members have experience in petroleum and natural gas engineering, hydrology, hydro-geology, and toxicology and come from universities, government agencies, and industry. The panel will hold its first meeting in early May.
