Federal court upholds Vermont law prohibiting marketing use of prescriber data

On April 23, 2009, a federal district court in Vermont rejected arguments by several companies that license prescriber-identifiable data (PI data) and the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA) that a Vermont law1 designed to curtail the marketing of prescription drugs using PI data is unconstitutional.
