As mentioned in previous updates, a new enquiry is being conducted by the UK government’s Business, Innovation and Skills Committee into women in the workplace which focuses on inequalities regarding remuneration and segregation, part-time working, gender stereotyping in certain sectors such as construction and banking, and a number of other issues. The inquiry follows on from a number of developments in this area in recent times. One of the issues raised by the inquiry is the extent to which the recommendations set out in the UK report of Lord Davies entitled "Women on Boards" published in February 2011 have been acted upon.
Feedback was requested on a number of questions and submissions closed on 5 October 2012.
