Robert Roberts a former healthcare assistant at the Millbrook Mental Health Unit has been charged with fourteen counts of sexual assault and two of rape. He is due to appear at Nottingham Crown Court on 25 July 2016.
The 59 year old, of Hathersage Way, Sutton is said to have carried out these sexual attacks at Millbrook Mental Health Unit at Kingsmill Hospital, in 2014. The unit is an inpatient hospital which consists of a psychiatric intensive care unit, adult mental health wards, crisis team and also has outpatients clinics. The unit is run by Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust.
It is noted that following his suspension, Roberts resigned from employment.
