In her speech Ms Ross covers the FSA’s statutory objectives, risk based supervision and the move to more principles based regulation. At the end of her speech she states that the recent events concerning the credit crunch reinforces, rather than contradicts, the need to focus on outcomes instead of compliance with a set of detailed rules.
