NUMBER OF ADMISSIONS TO AIM AND THE MAIN MARKET

Whilst on AIM the number of admissions has grown slightly in the last quarter, mainly due to the highest number of international admissions for a year, on the Main Market the number of admissions has continued to decline, predominantly due to the lowest number of admissions of domestic issuers since the first quarter of 2009.

FUNDRAISING ACTIVITY ON AIM AND THE MAIN MARKET

Even though amount of money raised by new issues on AIM continued to grow for a second quarter, such growth proved insufficient to offset the continued decline in the amount of money raised by further issues on AIM thus resulting in a fall in the aggregate amount of money raised there for a second quarter in a row.  The amount of money raised on the main market has risen significantly in the last quarter due to a £3.2bn floatation of ADRs for Sberbank of Russia.
