The Spanish Data Protection Agency and the Spanish Association of the Digital Economy (Adigital) have presented the novelties of the Robinson List. This list is an advertising exclusion service created by Adigital to protect Spanish citizens' personal data and facilitate compliance by companies with the GDPR and the new Organic Law on Personal Data Protection and Guarantee of Digital Rights.

Adigital has introduced new functionality: the possibility for citizens to limit the receipt of free advertising not only by channels (telephone, SMS, email or postcard), as was already the case, but also by business sectors. In addition, there is a new service for the management of user complaints.

As far as companies are concerned, the changes relate to the Robinson List consultation system. Through a new API, this becomes simpler and more effective, which benefits, especially, SMEs and micro-SMEs. In addition, the process of encryption and improved data pseudonymization makes it more secure.
