Certification of Completed Construction of Major Part of Properties Becomes Easier
On 14 October 2014 Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 512 "On Amendments to the Procedure for Commissioning Properties after Completion of Construction" (the "Resolution") became effective.
The Resolution streamlines the commissioning procedure for any property developed on the basis of a notification of construction commencement, including individual houses, summer houses and cottages of less than 300 sq.m., non-residential farm buildings and structures and the like.
The simplification should be achieved by introduction of an updated form of a Property Completion Declaration, which is submitted to the competent authorities upon completion of construction.
From now on only the following information needs be indicated in the declaration:
- property details;
- owner's details;
- details of notification on commencement of construction;
- postal (or construction site) address;
- document confirming ownership/use rights to underlying land plot; and
- technical inventory data.
In addition, the Resolution allows the separate commissioning of two or more properties that were built based on a single construction certificate.
Adoption of the Resolution should generally contribute to the improvement and speeding up of the process of certification of completed construction.
