The Federal law No208-FZ of 11 July 2011 which came into force on 26 July 2011 changes the insurance policy for military servicemen in case of suicide. Under the new law, suicides are now covered irrespective of the actual length of the insured's service. The old law covered only those servicemen who served at least six months prior to the suicide.
