For those who have not come across them yet two months ago the Association for Consultancy and Engineering, and the Civil Engineering Contractors Association, published a brand new suite of ICC  ( Infrastructure Conditions of Contract) conditions- based on the old ICE Conditions used previously for engineering projects such as earthworks or roadworks.

They are worth getting if you are carrying out engineering works. There is for example a useful Ground Investigation contract amongst the contracts published.

Its worth in my view as well looking at the ICC contracts to see if there are any useful ideas in them that you might want to add to any NEC 3 contract your using.

The forms are meant to take into account the new Construction Act, but that should be checked if you use them. It's good to see though that the ICE form is not dead despite NEC 3's  pre-eminence.
