IMA continues to support the overall aims of the retail distribution review. However it believes the review needs more clarity to achieve a better deal for consumers, and FSA should take time to get the detail right. According to Richard Saunders, Chief Executive of the IMA, "it is clear that issues remain that need to be resolved. In particular, it is not clear how some of the rules will operate in practice, or that they will provide an entirely level playing field between different types of product and different types of firm".
