The Financial Services Consumer Panel (FSCP) has issued a statement following the Office of Fair Trading’s decision not to continue with its investigation into banks' unarranged overdraft charging terms under the Unfair Terms in Consumer Contract Regulations 1999.

The FSCP believes that the uncertainty around unauthorised overdraft charges and the issues of unfairness with the current account market need to be resolved as a matter of urgency.
