Seven Republican sent a letter to Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Gina McCarthy September 17, asking the agency to elaborate on its involvement in the calculation of the administration’s social cost of carbon. The letter asked which officials were involved in the calculation, whether the models used were peer reviewed, and what future rules the agency intends to use the cost. The members who signed the letter were Senators David Vitter (R-LA), Roy Blunt (R-MO), Jeff Sessions (R-AL), John Barrasso (R-WY), Jim Inhofe (R-OK), Roger Wicker (R-MS), and John Boozman (R-AR ).
