The CIPD surveyed 2,000 employees across the UK about their engagement at work. 58% of workers were neutral which means they are less likely to go the extra mile for their employers. Encouraging for employers, 72% of employees consider their managers always or at least usually treat them fairly and are committed to their organisation. About 20% of employees at any one time are looking for a new job with a different employer, particularly those in the voluntary sector. There are however continuing issues around lack of personal development and poor trust and confidence in leaders.
