The U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) has issued a report detailing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and trends by state. According to the report, GHG emissions decreased in 32 states and rose in 18 states from 2000 to 2010, and many states did not experience a decrease from 2009 to 2010. The report presents total energy-related GHG emissions by state for each year from 2000 to 2010 and includes several data analyses. For example, while Texas far exceeds the remaining states in total energy use and development GHG emissions, it ranks 15th on an emissions-per-capita basis.
