In January, OSCR published its review for 2012. It's always an interesting read, and provides a useful snapshot of its work during 2012, as well as its key priorities for the year ahead. One interesting statistic for us as advisers is that, of the ten most common complaints about charities which OSCR receives, number one is complaints about general governance. If you have concerns about a charity's governance arrangements, why not give us a call? We regularly provide advice on constitutional issues, compliance with charity law and other governance matters. There are lots of free resources available too, including Good Governance: a code for the voluntary and community sector' (there's a long and a short version).
