The Century Foundation, a nonprofit research organization, proposed an online NLRB platform that would streamline the union organizing process by allowing workers to file union representation petitions with the NLRB, communicate confidentially about union organization, unionize without the help of established unions, and provide checklist-style guidelines for the organizing process.

The NLRB entered an agreement with the Government of Colombia to create training and education programs to inform Colombian workers of their rights under the NLRA.

Chris Shelton, the prior vice president of CWA District 1 in the Northeast, was elected president of the CWA, an international union representing 700,000 workers in telecommunications, media, airlines, and health care. Shelton intends to be more involved in collective bargaining than past presidents.
