Today the Department of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) invited 3,900 applicants with a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 443 or higher to apply for permanent residence.

Today’s draw marks the 109th round of invitations since Express Entry came into force. It was the second round of invitations of 2019 and was lower than the previous round.

The IRCC have remained consistent over the last several months issuing 3,900 ITA. For the IRCC to hit its increased targets for 2019 and 2020, we are hopeful that the IRCC will increase the number of ITAs issued over the course of this year.

Whether these larger draws affects the minimum score is something that we will continue to monitor. So far, the number of ITAs have remained high and the CRS score have also remained relatively high.
