Today, the Department of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) invited 3,350 applicants with a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 451 or higher to apply for permanent residence.
The 3,350 Invitations To Apply (ITAs) issued in today’s draw brings 2019's ITA total to 24,550. This is the fifth consecutive draw where 3,350 ITAs were issued.
Today’s draw marks the 114th round of invitations since Express Entry came into force and with that, IRCC have applied it's tie-break rule with the time stamp of January 9, 2019 at 07:35:09 UTC.
This simply means that all candidates with a CRS score of 451 or higher, and those candidates with a score of 451 or above who have previously entered their profile in the Express Entry pool before the selected date and time, will receive an invitation in this round.
It's important to note that on April 1st 2019, IRCC updated their requirements for the amount of money you need to settle in Canada. It is advised to check your profile to see if you are still eligible. IRCC update the minimum amount you need every year, based on 50% of the low income cut-off totals. The changes are small, but there is a chance they could affect your eligibility.
