On 5 April 2017, the Swedish Competition Authority (the "SCA") announced that it is investigating potential anti-competitive agreements or coordination in the insurance sector. The SCA has carried out dawn raids at the premises of a number of companies active on the market for the supply of insurance services and it is understood that the investigation relates particularly to suspected anti-competitive conduct in the context of procurement processes. A dawn raid is a procedural investigative tool used by competition authorities and it does not prejudge that the final outcome of the investigation.
