On 4 November 2013, the Central Bank of Ireland published its Guidelines on Preparing for Solvency II. The Guidelines (which reflect the Guidelines on Preparing for Solvency II issued by the European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority (EIOPA) on 27 September 2013) consist of a general introductory paper and four Guideline papers regarding (a) systems of governance (including risk management systems), (b) forward looking assessment of own risks, (c) pre-application for internal models and (d) submission of information to the Central Bank.
