On September 24 2015 the National Minimum Wages Commission resolved that, as of October 1 2015, a single general minimum wage of Ps70.10 per day shall apply throughout Mexico.
With this resolution, the commission concluded the process of converging the minimum wages of Geographical Areas A and B. The previous minimum wage in Geographical Area B – Ps68.28 per day – was increased by 2.66% to Ps70.10 per day. It now matches the minimum wage in Geographical Area A, which has been in force since April 1 2015.
