Following up on the migratory measures emitted by the Costa Rican Government, we inform you that as of November 1st, 2020, those who have legal permanence in Costa Rica (permanent residents, temporary residents, special categories residents, or non-residents in subcategory of estancia or stay) will be able to enter the country through authorized immigration posts (land borders).
The requirements are:
- A current insurance from the Caja Costarricense del Seguro Social (CCSS), or a private travel insurance that covers accommodation and medical expenses generated by COVID-19. Said insurance must be for at least a period of 22 days, and the equivalent of the costs of internment and lodging must be covered for the same period (22 days).
Costa Ricans and residents who enter by land borders will receive a sanitary order of home isolation for 14 days. International land transportation is also enabled for Costa Ricans and residents.
