The declaration of effectiveness of the Mexican Standard on Social Responsibility was recently published in the Federal Official Gazette. It aims to provide guidance to organizations on various topics on Social Responsibility , understood as the responsibility of an organization the impact in light of its decisions and activities that cause on society and the environment, seeking to contribute towards sustainable development.
It is a voluntary guide which offers potential benefits for organizations. It is not intended for certification purposes, but rather only for orientation providing advice on all kinds to private sector, public and non-profit organizations in subjects of governance, human rights, labor practices, environment, fair operating practices, consumer issues and active participation and community development.
