The Financial Markets Authority has published the Regulatory Reporting Guide for Authorised Financial Advisers (Regulatory Reporting Guide) referred to in Standard Condition 2 of the Standard Conditions for Authorised Financial Advisers (AFAs).
According to the Financial Markets Authority (FMA), Regulatory Reporting enables it to understand the profile, businesses and characteristics of AFAs, and will enable the FMA to focus its resources appropriately when monitoring AFAs.
AFAs must report in accordance with the periodic and other reporting, accounting and notification requirements set out in the Regulatory Reporting Guide for AFAs.
The Regulatory Reporting Guide includes:
- reporting requirements that an AFA must comply with to fulfil Standard Condition 2 of the Standard Conditions; and
- guidance and explanatory material to assist AFAs in understanding the reporting requirements.
