The Urban Land Institute Greenprint Center’s August 22 Greenprint Performance Report found that 3,232 real estate properties reduced their energy consumption by 3.2 percent and their carbon emissions by 3.4 percent between 2011 and 2012. The real estate industry also increased recycling 21.4 percent over the same time period. The data on the properties, which hail from 44 countries, was submitted by real estate investors and owners.
