At FSA’s Annual Public Meeting, Lord Turner and Hector Sants spoke of the challenges FSA has faced in the past year and the plans for the transition to the new regulatory structure. They explained the approaches of the Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA) to regulating banks and insurance companies and heralded the imminent publication of the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) approach document. Together with speakers from the consumer, practitioner and small business panels, they spoke of national and international initiatives, specifically the Mortgage Market Review (MMR) and the Retail Distribution Review (RDR).
