Wage increases in enterprise agreements have declined in the last three months of 2012, according to data published in a quarterly report by the Federal Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations. The “Trend in Federal Enterprise Bargaining” report shows wages continuing their gradual decline, dropping to 3.8 percent in the December quarter compared to 3.9 percent in the September quarter. The decline in private sector wage increases were attributed to lower pay rise in agreements made in the manufacturing, construction and education industries.
