Today the Department of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) invited 3,350 applicants with a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 457 or higher to apply for permanent residence.

Today’s draw marks the 112th round of invitations since Express Entry came into force and is the highest CRS score through Canada’s Express Entry system since November of 2017. Today’s CRS score of 457 is 19 points higher than the previous January draw which also issued 3,350 ITAs.

The 3,350 Invitations To Apply (ITAs) issued in today’s draw brings 2019's ITA total to 14,500 – a 70% increase in the number of ITAs issued compared to this time last year.

This surge in ITAs is due to the IRCC’s increased targets for 2019 and 2020, we are hopeful that the IRCC will continue to increase the number of ITAs issued over the course of this year.
