Arias created an interdisciplinary task force with the participation of different practice areas to monitor and inform about measures taken by the Government to mitigate the impact of COVID-19.

The Government of Costa Rica announced a modification to the preventive measures taken in recent months due to the increase in cases and hospitalizations related to COVID-19.

Starting Saturday, April 17th, the daytime vehicle restriction is resumed on weekends throughout the country, without modification of the schedule (5:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.). The distribution system is the one applied so far, restriction by license plates on Saturday and Sunday. The following plates are not allowed to circulate on:

·    Saturday: 1, 3, 5, 7 and 9.

·    Sunday: 0, 2, 4, 6 and 8.
