Uzbek IP infringement sanctions will undergo some changes from the 1st August 2019, as the size of the fine an infringer will have to pay will depend upon whether they are acting on behalf of legal entities or have committed a repeated offence.
This law was first published on the 3rd May 2019. For initiating administrative cases against infringers, no official state body has yet been appointed, although this should be decided by the 1st August 2019, the date of when this law will come into effect.
